Description
Controlled flight into terrain remains the leading cause of aviation accidents world wide. Objectives
EGPWS/TAWS provides flight department personnel with a comprehensive description of TAWS and its seven modes designed to alert flight crews to a possible terrain conflict. Examples show you when a basic ground proximity warning system might not have been enough to give adequate protection to an aircraft and how today's advanced TAWS expands the safety envelope.
